Dixon, Jackson, Cooper and Grandma had a great camp-out in the back yard in the new tent. Grandma slept about 17 minutes.
Dixon and Jackson attended the Pioneer Day rodeo in Park Valley. Jackson has lots of friends who live there. He met them docking cows and shoeing horses with Daddy. The boys participated in a chicken catching activity during the rodeo and Jackson was able to acquire "Floppy", so named for the large, ugly red floppy thing that totally obscures his head. Floppy has big red spots painted all over his body.
Kennedy is such a smart girl. She can say lots of words and understands everything you say. She is getting quite useful too. She can put stuff in the garbage, bring you things, etc. She likes to sing. It is the cutest thing you ever heard!
Grandpa is always good for a ride on a 4-wheeler or a lawn mower. The kids are growing so fast. Cooper is a big boy now and Kasen is beginning to talk, which is a big improvement over the screaming! He keeps us on our toes because he is so fast on his feet.
Kennedy will not be parted from Monkey. Monkey has aged profoundly this summer. His face is squished to one side and his eyes have cataracts from banging around in the washer and dryer. Still, he is her best bud.
Jackson had a birthday in July. He is the hardest kid to buy for, if you are trying to buy toys for him. He's easy as pie to buy for if you get him a hatchet (which I did), a knife, a gun or target, hunting or survival videos. He is not your typical 6 year old. He relates more to Shane's interests.
Swimming at the Brigham pool. We have had lots of cook-outs, hot tub parties and sleep overs. The boys went camping up Logan Canyon and we went up for dinner. Over all it has been a pretty low-key summer and it has been relaxing. We have one big vacation planned that we are looking forward to. One thing is for sure- summer is going by too fast!!!

Kasen loves the pictures. He has actually sat on my lap and even said Grandpa at the appropriate times.
