"..... And in the end the love you take, is equal to the love you make." This is the last line from the last song on the last album the Beatles made together and I love the truth it imparts. Life, for most people, is not filled with incredible, noteworthy events. Our life is really just a daily routine of minutia which collectively constitutes the minutes, days and years that make up our precious life here on Earth. Hopefully, along the way we are building a legacy of love and relationships because that's what gives life its value. Some people barely leave a trace of themselves behind as they pass through life and when they are gone, we briefly mark the occasion, then get on with life's details. Others impact the lives they touch so greatly that their absence is forever felt at some level. I am so grateful for my family. Each person is irreplaceable to me. Yet, life is precious, fleeting, and each of us has a time when we will move on. We have a finite number of days to spend here, and hopefully we spend it "making enough love" that when we do move on, we take an eternity of love with us. Our family is facing the possibility of loosing someone whom we love dearly. Shelly's husband, Kim, has just been diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkins lymphoma. It has taken 4 months to uncover it and he has lost a lot of ground physically. He could really use everyone's prayers, Hail Mary's, positive Karma - what ever you can give. We're really not ready to let him go.

We wish only the best for that wonderful family. We have some pretty fun memories growing up with them, it broke my heart when dad told me the news.

You always-always touch my heart with your words. How are you a math teacher when you write with such strength and eloquence? Thanks for sharing your words and thoughts and pictures and life. You really mean a great deal to me...I treasure you as a friend. Your family is in my prayers...my turn to give back.
